I'm starting to read "Preach My Gospel" book as preparation for my missionary service at the church. I'm thinking, even the president of the church didn't serve a mission, so why do I want to serve...? I feel that my profession, how I make my money and what I love to do, is to speak to people and encourage them and ask questions, that's like the prophets of old. If they did their job right, they were in tune with the spirit, and at the same time - in tune with the people around them. That could be hard. I believe being a missionary will allow me these tools and learning from prophets of old but mainly from experience, how to be in tune with both the people and my mission, to convince them that the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true path and church. By becoming a missionary and speaking from my heart and experience to people of all nations, I will be able to develop my faith and service to others, to love them dearly and purely try to give them the biggest gift of all - to know about the true church.
